Dragon Age: Origins is a single-player third-person role-playing game published by Electronic Arts. It is developed by BioWare’s Edmonton studio and the first game in the Dragon Age franchise. The game was released on November 3, 2009 for Microsoft Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on December 21, 2009 the game was release for Mac OS X. An expansion to the game was released in March 2010, titled Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, and the official sequel was released in March 2011, Dragon Age II. BioWare intends for the game to serve as the foundation for a much broader intellectual property.
